Eco - Reverberações no Alto Minho
Any territory comprises a history and a life composed of more or less visible facets, experienced more or less consciously by humans and more than humans, who inhabit it. We call these facets echoes.
Eco is not something that is exhausted in the idea of repetition, but rather a place that brings together ideas, intentions, impressions, gestures, memories and sensations about things that are prolonged in time, manifest and contribute to the current history of each individual and each territory.
Developed for and in the Pasteleira Neighborhood King Kong is a Teatro do Frio creation, with a strong installation component, which puts into dialogue phenomena of the territory, visual anthropology, sound art and performance.
King Kong is inspired by the architecture of the jungles and cities, the bizarre rites and the fantastic relationship of man / myth / landscape scales.
Teatro do Frio, a collective of research and creation, investigates areas of contact between the processes of theatrical creation and sound art, acoustics, dance and writing. It has deepened the investment in the creation of shows where interpreter and word emerge from the systematic investigation around the relations emotion, action, thought and where the dramaturgica / composicional writing tries a proper grammar that relates voice, body, space, sound and fiction - place where the concept of Sonorous Drama emerges and where King Kong enters.
ECO is a creation looks at the landscape through the body, orality and acoustics, focusing its research in search of moments of beauty that occur for no apparent purpose. A Concert for Stars
In 580 B.C., mathematician Pythagoras was born in Samos. He would postulate the concept of Harmony of the Spheres, or Musica Universalis, a concept where the motion of planets, people and music come together. Observing and sensing so as to become part of the landscape; observing and sensing so as to become matter in space; observing and sensing so as to rethink any notions of reality.

isees the body as a musical, emotional and sensory instrument. Search reaches of breath and resonators cartographer of the moving body. Understand the space as a key element in expressiveness of sound. It is a "naked" place where small scenic sculptures witness and report the physicality of sound, ushering minimal form of sound waves in a site-specific route.
this performance we experience an intimate dialogue. A one to one performance wiht a time and a count that runs to an end. This performance that combines the physical theater with sound art seek the abstraction of time in a private area and shared between permorfer and public element.
